FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

How can I make an appointment?

We encourage you to call us on +48 693 728 028, e-mail us at info@kancelariaszkudlarek.pl or contact us through the contact form here. Booking an appointment in advance will allow us to choose a time and date most suitable for you and will give us plenty of time to discuss everything.

Why do you not provide pricing for your services on the website?

Setting a price for a service is only possible after we discuss the details of the case, but it is free to present your case to us. The fee is only charged when you ask for legal advice or request a pleading. Even if two cases seem similar, they are often not and because of that, the price will be different. What is more, one case might have many more court sessions than another which will also affect the price.

If the Firm agrees to take on a case, the fee for the first meeting will be calculated into the overall fee. Before we take on a case however, we will inform you of the fees. It is important to mention that the overall fee is not dependent on the verdict of the case, however, if the court rules in your favour, upon prior agreement, the fee might increase.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

What you need to bring to your first appointment depends on your case. If you have any doubts, we suggest bringing everything that might be useful – sometimes even the least important document can make all the difference. It is of course possible to e-mail us the necessary documentation after the appointment has taken place.

Can you tell me how long my case will take?

The duration of any court case depends on the type of the case, the number of participants and the level of engagement. Due to the uniqueness of every case, it is impossible to tell how long it will take for it to be resolved.

Can I ask you to prepare a pleading without assigning you my case?

Of course, we offer such a service. If all you need is a pleading, then it is possible to request that.

Do you offer permanent legal advice?

Yes. The basis of such co-operation is a contract between the Firm and the Client detailing the services and fees. Depending on your needs, it is possible to agree on hourly rates, lump sum payments or both.

Do you take on cases from outside of Łódź?

Yes, we take on cases from people living outside of Łódź, as well as people living abroad.

In what languages do you offer your services?

We offer our services in Polish, English and in Spanish.
